So this morning started a little better with us actually getting out of bed when the alarm went off. This was thanks to a proper sleep for both of us!
Our accommodation in SF didn't actually include breakfast, having said that, they gave us breakfast vouchers and we have finally mastered getting breakfast without a 15min wait to be seated. Just about go down in our pj's (i promise we did change) and eat then return to room and shower and dress for the day after breakfast.

Today we headed to find "The Painted Ladies"! The Painted Ladies is the row of Victorian houses at 710–720 Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square park, in San Francisco. They are quite often used in films, TV ads and in the opening credits of the TV series Full House. We decided that we walk the 6kms round trip to Alamo Square then return to the cable car and catch it to China Town. This was all good until we returned to the cable car stop and decided it would be quicker to walk than wait in the queue.
Once we arrived in China Town, we headed to the Pot Sticker Restaurant where we indulged in Pot Sticker dumplings, fried rice and some Chinese greens in garlic sauce. It was completely tasty and if we return to San Francisco in the future will certainly be dining here again.

Once lunch was consumed it was time to head to Fishermans Wharf again via Pier 1 to pick up bikes to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately it was another foggy day but we decided to bite the bullet and do it anyway. It was very eerie crossing the famous bridge that we couldn't really see except for brief moments when the fog was slightly thinner. There was however no way of seeing more than 10 metres in front of you. It was surreal to be on the bridge in such thick fog and also feel as well as hear the horns blowing.

Once we had crossed the bridge safely we headed to Sausalito to catch the ferry back to Pier 1. To get to Sausalito from the bridge you must ride down a curvy hill with massive winds due to the weather today. At one stage it was best to get off the bike and walk it as trying to ride on a 45 degree angle is a little difficult. Once we reached Sausalito we purchased tickets for our ferry trip back and went for a wander until it was time to go home. Sausalito was a quaint little area and glad we reached the other side in one piece but majorly glad that Toot made it without stacking! What a way to return to the deadly treadly!
We dropped our bike back at around 6pm and decided we would treat our legs and bums to a trip on the cable car back to the hotel. Clearly the cable car driver had other ideas and told us he was full up and drove straight past us. So back to the foot falcon we went and all those bloody hills. We can no longer walk, or sit and we got bloody sunburnt on our legs (coz we put cream everywhere else but clearly forgot our legs). So needless to say that we are both feeling somewhat sore and sorry for ourselves this evening and should both sleep very well tonight. Except sunburn pain and sore bums.
Dinner tonight was courtesy of Lori's Diner around the corner form the hotel. We were hoping to try a recommended restaurant from Annie called "The Stinking Rose" (a garlic restaurant) but by the time we returned to the hotel to get some warmer clothes it all got WAY too hard to walk back there. Thats another one for next time.
We have both thoroughly enjoyed our time in San Francisco and the people have also been lovely. Even the homeless people asking for cash are nice. Great city, nice people and nice to be able to walk everywhere. Sad to leave, but excited for the next step in our adventures! LA here we come!
